A Note From Ruth:
As a safer sex educator, I tend to have strong feelings about the word "safe". As part of the RACK loving kink community, I have more strong feelings about this word. This said, I do not seek to create safe space for discussion, I seek brave space. In this space we will discuss things that may challenge us, make us uncomfortable. I encourage us to be uncomfortable and express that feeling... and perhaps use it to help create a better environment... a better community. That said, if any of us find the topics here too challenging in the moment, leaving this space at any point is accepted and supported, whether for a moment to gather thoughts and strength to return, or to say "Not now", and move into another space entirely. Welcome to our brave space.
Dark Moon Rising Campout
Dark Moon Rising is a 3-day camping event dedicated to Neo-Pagans who practice BDSM. This event is open to anyone over 18 years old who has an interest in this topic. (If you found this site when looking for information about the book called "Dark Moon Rising" by Raven Kaldera, it is here.)
This is a camping event, held at Cauldron Farm in Hubbardston, MA. Please bring your own tent, camping equipment, enough food for the weekend, warm clothing, sensible shoes, a flashlight, and bug repellent, as well as any toys you see fit for playing around a campfire. Please keep in mind this is an educational event; there will be time for play, but play partners will not be provided. This is not a BDSM singles mixer.
Admission is $30 if you preregister by September 13th and $35 (cash only) at the door. Attendees may arrive any time between noon and 11pm on Friday night, and all camping gear must be cleared out by 3pm on Sunday. If you must arrive or depart at odd times, we ask that you contact Ruth (fetish666@gmail.com or Ravens_bitch on Fetlife) to be certain this is okay.
